Leaks Fixed At The Source
A leak almost never shows up where it began. Water lands on a broken tile or a split flashing, runs along a batten or a rafter, and drops through the ceiling several feet away. Which is exactly why sealing the damp patch buys you one dry winter and no more.
We go up and trace it backwards to the entry point. Then we tell you what needs doing, in words that mean something, and what it will cost - the whole job, itemised, before a tool comes out of the van.
Slipped and cracked tiles, storm damage, tired lead around a stack, a valley that has given up, or a leak two other people have already tried to find. It is all ordinary work. And if a small repair is the honest answer, that is the one we will quote.

What you get from us
Why Hand Us The Repair
We find where it actually started
Not where the stain is. That distinction is the difference between a repair that holds and one that has you ringing again in February.
You see the fault yourself
We take photographs on the roof and go through them with you, so you are not taking our word for what is up there or what it needed.
The price is the price
One itemised figure covering the whole job, access included. Nothing gets found halfway through and added on while the scaffolding is already up.
Roof Repairs We Take On
Pitched and flat roof repairs on houses right across Medway:
- Leak tracing and repair - following the water back to the entry point instead of sealing the ceiling stain.
- Slipped, cracked and missing tiles or slates - matched to what is already on the roof and fixed to stay put.
- Flashing repairs - stacks, valleys and roof-to-wall joints, which is where the majority of leaks begin.
- Valley repairs - clearing, relining or renewing the channel where two slopes meet.
- Ridge and verge - re-bedding or dry-fixing the ridge tiles wind has worked loose.
- Storm damage - a quick response afterwards, and a written report with photographs for your insurer if you need one.
If it is coming in right now: shift what you can out of the way, put a container underneath, and isolate the circuit if it is anywhere near a light fitting. Then ring us and we will get there as quickly as we can.
Common questions
Roof Repair Questions We Get Asked
It comes down to the fault, not the size of the house. A few slipped tiles is a small job on any roof. A failed valley, tired lead or a chimney that needs work is a bigger one, and whether scaffolding is needed shifts it again. We look first and then give you a firm figure, rather than a number over the phone that changes later.
Most of it is getting safely to the fault rather than the fault itself. Once someone is up there and the access is paid for, it is worth having anything else that needs doing sorted in the same visit instead of paying for access twice.
Storm damage generally is. Wear and age generally are not. Where the weather is the cause we will give you a written report with photographs setting out the damage and what putting it right involves, which is what an insurer will ask to see.
Because the previous repair treated the symptom. Water travels along timbers before it drops, so the place it comes through the ceiling is often nowhere near where it got in. We go looking for the entry point rather than the stain.
Weather and time. Wind gets under tiles and shifts them, and the nails holding them rust through over the decades until they let go. Beyond that it is tired lead and flashings, valleys and gutters that have silted up, and frost getting into mortar that has already cracked.
An active leak jumps the queue, because stopping the water is usually what keeps it a repair rather than a new ceiling. For anything that is not urgent we will give you a realistic day rather than an optimistic one.
